Internet Explorer problems

Be nice to me... I've never posted in a forum before, and I know absolutely nothing about computers.

I just recovered last month from Elitebar attacking my computer (took cousin 5 hours to remove).

Two problems I'm having now:
My daughter can't access her favourite website neopets.com The error message that comes up says:
Line 271
Char 3
Error 'google_ad_width is undefined
Code O
URL: htt/www.neopets.com/objects.phtm.

I don't seem to have any other problems accessing websites.

Other problem is that I keep getting a Norton security popup constantly, that says my updates aren't up to date (they are) Help!. (Please don't talk technical, or I won't have a clue.

1. get a browser that isnt as weak in security as ie. mozilla, firefox, opera, and a number of others are available.
2. that looks like you have script debugging on. you can most likely disable it in the advanced features of internet options.
3. uninstall norton completely using the uninstall program from their website, then reinstall it.
