SWAT 4 Help!!!!!!!!!

hi i recently installed swat 4 and the installation was done fine but when i try and start the game it just goes into a black screen and stays like that and basically frezzes i dont no wot to do
my system is:
P4 2.8ghz
1024 dual channel ram
Gainward Geforce 5600 ultra 256mb
inbuilt 5.1 sound
p4 titan motherboard
can some one plz help me cause it works on my friends and not mine its so anoying and i hav all the lastest drivers help plz!!!!!

Well im not exactly sure what the problem may be, but your system seems pretty good. There may be a conflict or something. Maybe someone else has a solution.

I had the same problem. All u have to do is wait about 30 seconds and then press enter and it should work.

yes he's right I had the same prob, check press enter after about 20 secs or so! I then press the left mouse button and away you go!

i have the excact problem, but pressing enter doesnt work and it stays frozen. anymore advice? and links to similar problems on other forums?

i fixed my problem with getting into the game ( randomly hitting tab and enter several times) but now i cant get into multiplayer mode. i cant see any servers on the list and i cant join anygames through things liek Xfire and gamespy. pls help!

I have the same, no servers are displaeyed, but I can host a game. Anyone else, and how do I fix?

i got the same problem with SWAT, blank screen just appears and i tried pressin enter, tab and the left mouse button but nothin works. I got the latest graphic card drivers and no active firewall and still it doesn't work. Please help??? Any suggestion??

I had the same problem with the black screen and found that my firewall was the blocking it so configure your firewall to allow the game access. That wasn't the only problem i've had with the game. In fact i bought Swat 4 the first week it was out and had so many problems that i deleted it and decided to wait for the patch. So the patch came out last week and i reinstalled the game and patch. Same problems, the patch fixed nothing for me. I know it helped alot of people with their problems and that's great but the game is still useless to me. These are my problems: The game doesn't save any of my settings or key config; it doesn't save my profile so i have to start from the beginning each game; it crashes my computer every time i exit the game; it resets my default windows resolution to whatever the game resolution was before the game crashed. Before anyone suggests deleting my swat 4.ini file, i tried that. No help. I really enjoyed what i have played of it (the first 4 levels over and over) but it's just not worth it for me to have to config everything everytime just to watch it crash and be erased, so if anyone has any ideas please let me know. I'm running it on my laptop with a 2gig pentium M (maybe the problem), a Nvidia GO 6800 (when i DO play the game, it runs great) and 1gig of DDR2 ram. Thx in advance for for the help.
