Optical mouse prob.

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I reacently got a Logitech Click! and it worked fine give or take a few bugs since its optical its flinches from time to time. Yet it seemed to get worse and worse now i cant play games at all expecialy counter-strike because the mouse reaction is cut down by a second so for all the counter strike players thats like a 450 pound guy running a marathon. Other then that it works ok and i have tried downloading the newest version of mouse weare but it didnt do much and ive tried resetting my cs configuration still no luck so im turning to you guys.

Have you tried another USB port? and cleansed the optical?
What mouse pad do you use?

Is it the kind, that got a intence coloured pattern on? This may sometimes, give reading problems, for optical mice. By that, I would'nt recommend a solid coloured one either. As the optical mouse, can't find any reference point on solid coloured pads. And therefore stays "on", resulting in faster battery drain.

What he siad + mayb its defective?

I have a solid color mousepad, but it's textured (like cloth), and works perfectly fine with my mouse; except when the batteries get low.

your mousepad can't be reflective, btw.

Its got some color to it and its not refective but the mouse worked fine off games when i got the newest mouseware the thing im concerend about is when I play games it lags out so much its amazing. Sometimes it lags the whole time. So thats what im more concerend about because I can stand it flinching from time to time when im on the net and such.

I had the same problem start and then a week later, my mouse completely died. weird.. is it still under warranty?

Posted by: Oblivion

Heh I wish. The thing is I threw the box out by accident the day before i was gonna return it i just swept it off my desk with some other junk and i cant return it without the box so im kinda $20 less. But you know if noone can help out with the problem I can buy a new one.

I assume that the batteries are built in or snap in but that you recharge them by plugging in the mouse. If so try changing the batteries (ie new rechargable or just plain toss aways).

This isnt cordless so i dont need to recharge anything.

Sounds like it could be a bad mouse (in the optics, in the cord, in the driver), or a bad USB port (not if other mice/peripherals work fine).

Well I have 2 USB ports and both of them run anything else like my cam and such. So you it might be the mouse ill concider it by testing some other ones on my pc if not it might just be steam.
