Hi Everyone !!
Yesterday i tried to put in a 40 gig HD and when i went to switch the PC on it wont fire up. I have noticed that there are a few little cables which have come off and i havnt got a clue where thay are supposed to go .The PC is an E Star nothing flash i know , is there a wiring diagram that i can use anywhere or can someone please help. I have tried putting the original HD back in and it still wont fire up

Is this maybe some of the cabels from the PC case?
As HDD light, Power on etc. The connectors on those cabels are marked, what they are for.

Download the small software CPU Z. and then you will find out what motherboard manufacturer and model you got?
Then go to the manufacturers home. and get a manual for it.

Hi Mate !!! Yes thats them !! I havnt got a clue where they go though

Well it differs form motherboard to motherboard. So, I cant really tell you how to configure this. The only way, is to get a manual for your mobo. Or spend some hours experimenting.

And will that CPUz get me the manual. I have Dl it but it just tells me what PC im on now which is a laptop ,,or am i being really thick here??

In the manual for my ASUS motherboard the config, for the connectors, looks like this.
Maybe CPU Z did'nt recognize the mobo? Then you will have to contact the manufacturer of the laptop, and maybe, they can send you a manual? Or at least, tell you where the connectors should go?

Hello !!
Ive got the number from my motherboard and have found it on the web but i cant source a wiring diagram the number is E28F004S5 85 can anyone help please????

Posted by: goranpaa

Sorry mate! That's just a component number. The only thing that comes up is data sheets for semiconductors. You must have the manufacturer of the motherboard and the model, if we should be able to help you!

Posted by: GEORDIE

is there a simple way for me to get these details ?? I have looked at the motherboard and there is nothing that jumps out at me. Would the model number be in a specific place etc??
I appreciate your help !!!!

The PC is a Gateway e-Star

The problem, is, that it's very rare, that the manufacturer print the motherboards model and so on directly at the mobo. I found this E Star shop at the net. Maybe, their customer support, will be able to help you?

You can always try to connect the powerswitch connector, and keep on trying, until you get it right? Then at least, you will be able to try downloading SIS Sandra software. Using the System summary module. And that way, maybe find out what mobo and mobo model, you got?

Here is the link to SIS Sandra: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System...re-Sandra.shtml
