Rival Interactive released Real War on September, 25th. This game is different in that it was originally developed for the U.S. Department of Defense under the name Joint Force Employment (JFE).
From their website - Rival is a game development company based in Northern Virginia. Until now Rival's primary focus has been developing state of art military games, working with both commercial development teams and government contractors. Rival has formed a new breed of gaming company mixing the military's over 100 years of war gaming experience with cutting edge gaming technology.
Real War a real-time strategy game that focus on battles between current military units of the United States and the Independent Liberation Army (ILA), a fictitious organization which mostly uses Russian equipment.
The game was already scheduled to be released in September. Rival Interactive saw no reason to delay the release due to current events. A Demo, Patch and Forums are available from Rival Interactive's website. The game is rated Teen instead of Mature due to lack of blood and gore. Real War is available for the PC and retails for about $39.99.
