I have a 3 computer cable broadband ( comcast) ethernet network, 2 of the computers have Win XP home as their OS, the 3rd had Win 98 , everything was working fine and was very satisfied with the broadband. I decided to change from Win 98 to WinXP pro on the 3rd computer , since i have done this I am not able to access Comcast's home page on the 3rd computer. the other 2 computers are working fine. I also have AOL as a alternate ISP. I am able to surf the internet without any problems on all 3 computers. I just can't get Comcast's homepage on the 3rd computer. Comcast says that it is my OS. any ideas out there?

That doesn't 'sound' right, because if you can surf the net their homepage is just as any other homepage. I just visited them.

Just make sure that the third computer is fully Windows XP compatible, and compare that the setting are similar, yes the TCP/IP addressies will be different to the router modem.
If you use LAN connection with crosswired cable you have one master and the other two as clients (Slaves) and the TCP/IP settings needs to be set manually, i.e not like in the router setup which is autotamiclly done.

So Inspect more the settings of the configuration of the LAN and browser.

And as last notice hope the XP is bought for the third PC or has multy user license otherwice MS will cause trouble.
