Was playing an old game on my comp. when it kicked out and went to a blue screen and said it was preforming a physical system memory dump. I did not get to read all the explination but it went on to say if this is the first time i have seen this screen to reboot which I did. Upon which time i decided it was time to back up all my data and reformat my hard drive as it is about due. Once the comp. reloaded i went into c:\documentsandsettings\default\programfiles\... but there was no Azrueus folder and longer. All my downloads and .torrent files had dissappeared. I have searched for .torrent files as well as a few of the specific file names I remembered and I cannot find them anywhere on the system. However my system still reports the same amount of free space asa i had previous to this. No new space has been gained from these files dissappearing. When I try to create a forder named Azureus where it used to be it says the folder already exists. and i have checked to make sure it is not hidden and it is not. Any ideas?

Stop using the computer immediately and run a file recovery program. Any use of the computer from now on reduces the likelyhood of a good recovery.
