ACCESS 97 Compliance Check

I recently upgraded an old Latitude CPi laptop. I loaded win xp home edition on a clean hardrive. I loaded Office 97 small business edition and it seems to be functioning ok, but I have not used it long. I went to load Access 97 upgrade edition and could not get passed the compliance check. It is legal to use the upgrade since I have the Office 97 sbe. Went to the MS sight and found out the problem with Office 97 compliance check. I have emailed MS, but they refuse to answer. Are you aware of any fix for this problem?

I have the same problem. I have searched for hours online. Occasionally I find a forum where someone asks this EXACT question, but the reply is always something like "Yep that is a problem. Email me and I'll help you out." So if I find anything, I'll let you know, pal. We're in the same boat...up a creek...without a paddle.
