What does audio/video tuning wizard do?

I have Windows XP Pro SP2 and MSN Messenger 6.2 (I dont like 7).

With nLite and XPLite I removed components from windows and now the 'wizard audio/video tuning' from msn says it can't be run at this time, every time I want to use my webcam in msn messenger. It works fine in other programs. I tried reinstalling all the XPLite components (nLite isn't that easy, without reinstalling windows), reinstalling msn messenger and reinstalling my webcam, but it won't do. Also msn 7 had the same problem.

Now I want to fool messenger, so it thinks the wizard is already run before. Can anybody tell me what I have to do to make it think like that? Reg keys to make/change or configfiles to edit? Maybe with a virtual machine and/or a disk reg monitoring program when you run the wizard?
