Does anyone know how to record something that is playing on your dvd player/vcr/ or even TV...like i saw it being done, from a video camera to a MAC computer, they had a little box that converted the Video and Audio prongs to a USB...so is there a way to convert DVD or VCR to a windows computer?

Well I know nothing for windows, but I know a few good free programs for linux, and um linux is free also....Here's the link. I acctually bought an old computer for like 150 from a computer shop upgraded the card and thats what I run these on to record my shows.
