I have a cd that i burned, but my cd rom will not recogize it. I tried it in both the cd rom and cdrw drive. It just shows up as an empty cd. If i pu it in a different computer it works fine and i can see the files. Is there something i need to update for my computer to see the files. It has been able to see burned cd's before.

Win 98 se
1gig athlon
60 and 60 gig hd
cd rom 56x
cdrw (acer 12x8x32)
356 ddr ram

i just checked it does this for ALL burned cd now

Me and a friend had that problem. We never did figure it out, but we found that it had to do with the CD-R type. We had some brand that I forget and then used some TDK CD-R's and it worked just fine in the CD-Rom and Burner then. This may help you, but I don't know. I'm not that much of a professional when it comes to burners and CD-R/RW's yet. I'm still learning lol.

Thay may have something to do with it. Its just wierd that it would work before and not now. I finally got the Cd to read. I kept putting it in over and over in both drives. It finally worked. I still thin kthat it has something to do with the drives
