Problem with Starcraft on wireless

Recently I wanted to play Starcraft with some of my housemates...I have a wireless router NetGear and I am using a Presario X1000 laptop with an Intel Pro Wireless LAN...I have installed the IPX protocol for my wireless connection and I can see the game that was created by my friends but when I try entering the game there was a message that said "Unable to join game"...I have turned off all my firewalls but I still can't enter in a game...I can see the friends' shared folders in my network but I cannot enter a game or for others to enter a game I create...all of my friends are using cables connected directly to the router but I'm using wireless (802.11b)...what is wrong here? Or are there other ways to play Starcraft in a network without using IPX?

I was looking for the same thing myself. Went on and found the answer elsewhere and came back to post it. I don't believe in answerless questions online

So here's the deal. The router seperates the Wireless and Wired networks to some extent and you need to forward some ports between the two. Those ports are 4000 and 6112-6119. It looks like you have to forward both TCP and UDP.

Good Luck!
