Upgrade AGP video problems

Hey Guys

I have a HP 8760C computer with:

733mhz Processor
256MB RAM
Windows 98
16MB Integrated PCI Video

I'm pretty sure I made a mistake in putting the card in becaue, as a few of my friends told me, I should have set the AGP to be the master video, or the PCI to master. I didn't do this, and now I just get a black screen when I turn on the monitor.

I was worried at first that I didn't plug everything back in correctly. There is a plug labeled P8 that isn't plugged into anything. My friend has a similar system, and his P8 isn't plugged into anything as well. The power does come on to the computer, I'm just not sure if everything is on, or what not. Could a missing plug cause power to come on to the CPU but not display anything?

I'm almost certain that the BIOS is the culprit. I just can't do anything now because there is no display. If there is something else wrong besides the BIOS, what can I do to fix it. I have a nice service plan with Best Buy, so if all hope is lost then I am still in safe waters. Please help me.
