DirectX 9.0c problems

Hi,
I just bought an Albatron nVidia 6600, 128MB(AGP 8x) in order to be up to date since my old card was not playing most of the recent games. I installed the new Forceware edition of nVidia(v71.89) and the DirectX 9.0c full of hapiness that I will be able to play games again. But... nothing. The most games don't open and I noticed that these games have requirement to have installed DirectX 9.0c. The demo of

I installed many times DirectX 9.0c and the latest drivers (71.89) from NVIDIA but nothing...

its a bit odd, because most games should run on 9b fine, if not ideally. how are you acquiring your 9c? windows update, manual download, or from a game disk? have you tried formatting and going with a clean install of everything?

I acquired the DirectX 9.0c first by a games magazine [in order to be more reliable that a download] and then by the specific (original) games disks that demand it (and include it). I definately cannot do this though the site of Microsoft ... 
I should also inform you that since the old motherboard supported up to AGP 4x, and the new nVidia card was AGP 8x, I also bought from a store a used Chaintech 9PJL Apogee motherboard that supports AGP 8x! And consequently my PC has just been formatted!
My recent effords have been made with Demos that are veeery new in order to find out what causes the problem. That's why I found out that the directX 9.0c probably causes the problem. Specifically:
-Sid Meier's Pirates! (the best!) does not open
-Stronghold 2 does not open
and from the demos (where I found out that the directX 9.0c probably causes the problem)
- Medal of Honor:Pacific Assault (does NOT require DirectX9c) opens normally
-SWAT 4 (does NOT require DirectX9c) opens normally
-Fire Captain Demo (requires DirectX9c) writes:
"Could not initialize Direct3D. You may want to check that the latest version of DirectX is correctly installed on your system. This program now will exit."
-The Settlers: Heritage of Kings Demo (requires DirectX9c) writes:
"The Settlers: Heritage of Kings requires DirectX9.0c or higher!"
I have installed many times the newest drivers of nVidia and the DirectX 9c but... nothing...

Try various drivers. I took me 10 driver installations, before I found the correct one. And it seems to differ what is the correct version from one manufacturer to another. Also use a driverclener, between installations.
You can find both old and new forceware drivers, at Guru 3D, download section. Search under "forceware". At Guru 3d, you will also find "NVclean", driver cleaner.
Also download a new chipset driver.
If you don't know what chipset you got?
Download "Everest Home". And click "Motherboard" + "Chipset". Look for "Northbridge chipset". Make a note of model and number. And go to the manufacturers home.

Do you have a sufficient powersupply? 400W or preferably more.

Please help. I bought myself Sid Meier's Pirates and install it on my pc but also cannotinitialize with DirectX. I do not have much IT experience so I cannot fix it on my own.
I also have run the DxDiag and here is my results. Please have a look at it and let me know what to do. It all sounds a bid "Greek" to me.
