Lul the wet empire problem

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hello, this is a relativiely old game (97) and i am running it on XP Pro, this happens each time there is supposed to be a cut seen or vid, it shows the scene, then goes black and this happens:

ActiveMovie Window:lula.exe-Application Error
The instruction at "0x66812050" referred memory at "ox66812050". The memory could not be "read'.

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

I clicked cancel, and of course this does nothing, before this, I got errors from the stupid dr watson thing, so i turned off error checking etc, now this is the error that shows...

So if anyone could help me out that would be great!
Thanks in advance!

HI!

First try this: Right click the games shortcut. Then choose propertys. then "Compability". And set this to
run at Windows 98.

Is this the only game you have problems with?

Posted by: turbolovert51r

Yeah it seems to be the only game I am having problems with, my comp can play hl2 and other new games just fine...
I have set the icon for the program(not the game iso/cd) for compatibility for win 98 and the same error comes up...

Have you tried to find an update patch?

Posted by: turbolovert51r

since this game was released in 97, I do not think there is one available anymore...

I could be that the game is too old to work properly. Especially if you have service pac 2 installed. I had that kind of problem with EA sports "Matt Hayes fishing. I even mailed EA about it, when I could'nt make it work. And got the ansver that they did'nt leave any support on such an "Old game" (2002). Heh!

I guess, but it seems to be some sort of vid problem, imma convert all of the vid files to divx and see what happens...

Try update your video card driver.
