got a problem help!!!!

just got a old corporate pc, it's pretty good except i did a hard drive change and now when i boot up, i get this message.
pxe-e61:media test failure check cable. i've checked every cable i don't know what the problem is someone please help..

Check the IDE ribbon/cable connecting the hard drive to the motherboard. Make sure you it hooked up properly and securely - sometimes people mix up the ends of the ribbon and plug them incorrectly...

That error indicates the BIOS is trying to boot from the network card. PXE allows diskless workstations to boot off of the network. Try each of the two items below if necessary.
1. Try to fdisk the drive and format it. Maybe that's all it needs.
2. Remove the network card if it's not part of the motherboard or change the BIOS setting for boot to the floppy / hard drive.

okay guys the problem was that the computer was trying to boot up from the network so i removed the nic card and the error went away ....
