Age of Mythology Gold Edition

i am having problems installing age of mythology gold edition. the box comes with two cds. the computer is able to copy all files from the first cd. the second one is the problem. when my computer is trying to copy the files from cd2 it gives me this message:
"setup failed to extract files from E:\filesCab\Cab3Cab This problem is probably caused by insufficient disk space for the swapping file or a corrupted cabinet file. please restart your computer and run setup again."
i've trying what it recommends but it doesn't work. I even got a new fresh copy of the game, since i recently bought it and decided to exchange it for another, and nothing.
and yes i do have plenty of space on my hard drive.

after you copy the first disc... try installing that one...
copy the second disc AFTER you've installed and fully loaded the first one. it may have to rewrite a few files from the first version to install the expansion... so be sure you install them both to the same folder! i had a slightly similiar problem with AOM because i installed the first, then installed the second to a different folder and then when i ran either the graphics messed up.
