Connecting PS2 with USB to computer

I am trying to connect my PS2 to my computer using a double sided male USB cord for the purpose of transferring music from the Magix Music Maker on the PS2 to my computer for further production. I know this is possible and have seen it done, but I do not know the proper steps. Please help.
