PS 2 to TV hook up

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I am wishing to connect a PS game console to a portable 7 inch TV/Radio that has the Yellow and white audio in-put/out-put connectors only. There is only an external Antenna connector that is not the same as the regular TV for cable connection. Is there anything I could purchase that would work as an adaptor to connect the PS2 to the TV for use?

Thanks you, JP

Yes there is and you can find it anywhere, like Walmart etc. Just go and ask the people that work there.

I went to a Radio Shack and was unable to get help. The guy there did not understand what I needed and did not understand english very well, I guess. I need to know what I can purchase to go in and ask for it by name.

Hmm... I have one of these, and they're not the greatest, but they work. All you need to do is go to almost any store that sells electronics, and ask for a PS2 TV Adapter, and they should know what you're talking about.

Red and white are for audio, yellow is for video. If the colors on the TV/radio are correct, the yellow one should be the video input, and it would probably have mono audio output instead of stereo, that's why there's no white connector.

It's sad when you have to explain things like that...

Why is it sad? Because you happen to know it, and think everyone else should too? If everyone already knew everything, this forum wouldn't exist.
