battlefield 2 just wont work

i just got the game, and it wont let me connect to any multiplayer servers. the weird thing is that when i first got it i WAS able to play online, but i turned it off to eat and now it wont work. ive configured my firewall to no avail, and i dont use a router. im lost now, and im really pissed. just to top it all off, the uninstaller wont work, so i cant even get rid off it. any help would be appreciated.

If you running Windows XP, Try set it to a restore point, when you know it worked.
