Playing Warcraft III on BNET on University Network

My room mate and I want to play on battlenet on our campus network. We can both log in to bnet and join and host games. But when one of us hosts a game the other can't join, we can see the game in the list but when one of us tries joining it says the game cannot be found. How do we fix this?
