Printer driver troubles

I have tried to install my dad's new printer (it's a HP Officejet 6210 All-in-One) 6 times now, every time I do it goes through the HP install and then goes to the Windows hardware installer, and finish with the Windows installer telling me there was an error in the installation and "The parameter is incorrect". The OS is XP Pro and I can't get the other specs because I'm not on the computer right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
