Belkin Nostromo n50 SpeedPad Review

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

For many years, companies have tried to make the perfect game controller for First Person Shooters. Many have failed because they have focused on replacing the mouse. Which just can't be beat for fine precision aiming.

So the obvious solution is to try and replace the keyboard with something more comfortable and easier to use. Enter the Nostromo n50 SpeedPad from Belkin.

PlanetQuake has reviewed it and it seems to get the thumbs up. Here's a snip:

At the end of it all, the Nostromo n50 SpeedPad is now firmly part of my desktop arsenal and if Belkin wants it back they're gonna have to come and take it. I can't say that the device is the "be all and end all" for every gamer out there, but it's gonna become the weapon of choice for quite a few. Adaptable, adjustable, smart and reasonably priced is just what we needed to see in any attempt to push the keyboard aside and the Nostromo n50 is all that. Fraggers...we have a winner!

This thing looks like it could be a kick-ass controller for FPS and Mech Warrior type games. I'm going to try it out if I can find a place that sells them or has them in stock.

Swanky little peripheral there ... maybe it'll do things that The Claw couldn't get right
