Problems with the new SBC Yahoo! Online Protection

When I run the scan in the SBC Yahoo Online Protection on my machine it takes 3 days to finish. Now I have a virus it says but when I run the scan it never finds anything. But I have an icon on my bottom task bar that keeps a pop up going saying I have a virus. I have went into the regestry editor and ran all forms of it out of the machine, I also have went into the safe mode and gotten rid of more of it there. It has a supposed antivirus program it wants me to install.The company's name is "AZEAvtivirus" And the program it wants you to install is AntiVirue Gold. Could someone help me to get rid of this annoying pest before I break out the sledge hammer??

remove the various and sundry yahoo programs completely. then install third party AV and firewall. follow with online scans as necessary.
