I'm having problems with Zonematch for the original dungeon seige game, i think its the ports but what are ports? and how do i open them?

Definition of "port (definition #2 is the one that applies to your question). You don't need to understand exactly how it works, don't worry. 
Here is information from Microsoft on the ports needed for a Dungeon Siege Zonematch game, and how to open them through the built-in Windows firewall:

If you have a router, you'll have to do some port forwarding. If you need a step-by-step instructions for port forwarding, do this:
- find the manufacturer name and model number of your router
- go to PortForward.com
- click on the listing for your router
- click on the "Port Forwarding" listing

hmm, iv done that now but i still cant get connected to zonematch, i get all the news fine but just cant fully connect! anyone help?
oh and thanks for helping with the ports
