Blue Guilty Gear X disc won't play.

I've heard the blue discs can be a real pain in the ass to get to work, so I'm sort of not surprised at this, but my Guilty Gear X disc is one of these blue discs and simply will not work with my PS2 at all. It's one of the newer, slimer models, so I doubt that's the problem.

The exact nature of the problem is that when I put the disc in to play, I get a grinding sorta noise (like with the old PS2 after it goes bad) and then a screen comes up saying 'Please insert a Playstation or PS2 format disc'.

So, anyway to make the disc work or do I trash it and try to get another one and pray for a black disc?

i wouldnt trash it. try to pawn it off on one of your friends. : ) im not really an expert on the subject, but from my experience, disks that dont play because of their blueness usually never do.
