Tiger Woods 2005

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I've recently installed Tiger Woods 2005, but right from the get-go I'm having problems. Everytime I start the game, it plays the opening EA movie, but at the menu screen, it crashes with a "
TW2005 caused an Integer Divide by Zero in module Animator.dll at 001b:008d2550" error. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I'm running a Compaq X6000 with:

2.8 P4 with HT
1.25 GB RAM
256 MB ATI X600
DirectX 9.0

Thanks for any help!!!

EDIT: Oh, and XP Pro.

Hi !

Try this update patch: http://www.easports.com/games/tiger...5/downloads.jsp
I hope it may fix your problem?

Also try another Video card driver. And use a driver cleaner, like "Driver cleaner Pro". between installations.
You will find both old and new drivers + Driver cleaner here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/

Also lower the quality settings for AA and AF , if you have set them high.

Which Driver do I need to download for my X600? I'm not very familiar with this stuff. Sorry.

You should try ATI Catalyst 5.7 (MCE) wich is the latest one. And if that dont work for you? Try an older Catalyst driver.

Both The Geforce 6 and 7 series + the Radeon X series, seems to have troubles with drivers. So you may have to try several, before you find one that is good.
Also try the modified OMEGA, Catalyst drivers. Gives some better performance.

Will it matter if mine is a laptop X600 (meaning X600 Mobility) rather than a desktop X600?

Yepp!
Then you better visit ATI home for the driver.
But download Driver cleaner pro, from guru 3d anyway.

Forget this.

I already have 1.25 GB of RAM. Is that not enough?

Posted by: goranpaa

Yes, My misstake, I missed that you have more than enough of RAM. Sorry!

Here you have the correct Catalyst mobility driver: It is called, " Catalyst Mobility 5.7"

Not for my card, though. Only for X700 and X800. I have an X600.

Oboy! lol. Try this modified Omega catalyst driver. It is said to work with all Mobilty Radeons from M6 and up.

Sorry, been away for a while so I didn't see that latest post. So, that catalyst should help? Sorry, but I've always been wary about downloading stuff. Anyhow, I got the patch, but it still does the same thing, minus the "This program needs to close" error message. However, in the error log, it still says its the same error with animator.dll being divided by zero. Has anyone every experienced this problem before? I searched online and I couldn't find anyone saying they ever had this problem.

Posted by: goranpaa

Yeah, to be causious downloading stuff is a good strategy...But not this time. As you some day will have to update your driver(s) anyway.

Posted by: saxmann12

Still didn't work when I used that driver. I'm in contact with EA support right now, but it takes too long to get an online response from them.
