Need to uninstall DII, not in Add/Remove tho

Last time I played my DII (about 3-4 days ago) I had the current patch, 1.10, as I was on multiplayer. Now when I start it up, it opens the game, but I see no 'Blizzard' or 'Blizzard North' intro.. it just immediately tries to patch it from v1.09d to 1.10. I am very confused. I figured I would just uninstall then reinstall the game, and re-patch, but it is not listed in Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel (is this normal, should it be listed there?). There is no 'Uninstall DII' icon or anything with uninstall in the filename in it's folder.
The only thing I can think of, is that this computer had a virus a few months ago (I think Sasser) and the tech shop it got worked on at put everything that was on it into one folder (Backup - tho they couldve called it anything) and left Windows and other base programs. Most of the old stuff is deleted, but there was still a Diablo II folder (also almost gutted), so when the DII CD gets read, it tries to access the old folder.. maybe b/c it was there first? Anyways, to play, I close the 'must install DII' and open it from an icon on my desktop.
The problem is, I was playing on bnet with v1.10 not more than ½ a week ago, now I don't know what happened. How can the game revert one whole patch? Anyone have any input on this?
(I know it's not a problem with hardware, or processor/free memory.)

Gestation,

Well, you can always delete the folder and manually remove anything in the reg. that gives an error. As far as viri, could be a windows error too. Try AVG anti viri then Trendmicro.com, and then maybe Avast. Then try norton win dr.

hope that helps,

OH yeah! Did you download the update (get an actual exe) or use the blizzard updater?

Yes, thank you, that helps a lot.
I do have Norton SystemWorks, which includes Anti-virus, so I run that on a fairly regular basis and keep it updated.
It's just very baffling to me that not more than a week earlier, I was playing online, on b.net with version 1.10 as the most current patch is required. The new patch, 1.11 must have came out shortly thereafter.. but why in the world would I all of a sudden have to update from 1.09d when 1.10 was already successfully downloaded/installed and worked just fine??
Anyways, thank you for the help. Do you have the URL for the .exe? (I havent been that good at navigating the blizzard site at times previous.)

Maybe I should download and run patch 1.10, b/c it keeps trying to update from 1.09d to 1.10.. what could have happened, I wonder, to go from already having that & using it to play, to it being just straight up gone.. it's not like anyone else uses my computer. As it is, I can't even play single player.
