1. disable the reboot on error to get the error codes
2. if that is of no help, monitor the temps and voltages on bootup and after heavy use.

i took it back to where i bought it from lol he said there nuthing wrong cuz he never got a restart but i tole him it takes time it he said it might b a power supply what else can it b

Hi!

Do as Redwench suggested. Also give us any error code you get.
Download "Asus Probe" Temperature monitor software from Asus home. And check the temperatures. Also check the video cards temperature in the driver propertys.

Download "Memtest " to test your RAM. And let it run as long as possible. At least a couple of hours if your PC allows it?

http://hcidesign.com/memtest/download.html.

You can also open the PC case door an run it that way. If it helps, you need some more case fans.

Could his video card be overheating and windows is restarting as a solution?

Posted by: redwench

it would be rather unlikely that it would decide to do that when he leaves the game after playing for several hours and starts up ie. something is overheating, but i dont think its the videocard.

well after longg very long i looked into the probllem i tink it the mother board compatible sumething with the mobo chipset makes my pc restart seem like im not the only one havin this problem never buy the Asus A8V-Deluxe Maniboard

Posted by: SilkShYne

i wonder ifi get the a8v anot not the deluxe if dat wil make it work who thinks that would make it work

Posted by: RedMage

You mention you took it back, did you also take back the monitor? or did he tested the system using his owned monitor? and what makes you think its the mobo?

Posted by: oderus1671

sounds like a heat issue to me. download motherboard monitor and post your temps after playing games a while. there is an option in there to log your temps, do this and post them here. also, what heatsink and fan is on the cpu? whats the PSU?

Posted by: SilkShYne

i have a lot of moniters at home i tryed them all ya every 1 wanna witness the mother board troubles of the Asus A8V-Deluxe just go to yahoo and tpye in the mobo and my ati 9800 and your gonna see alot of same issues that i have

Posted by: SilkShYne

which mobo is good for my system out of these 3 AV8-3rd Eye or the UL8 or the AV8 all 939

Posted by: SilkShYne

all are abit

Posted by: SilkShYne

well im getting the AV8 i think this mobo the best for me rite now

Posted by: SilkShYne

guys i returned the pc and the guy says it workin fine he said he has left it on for 3 days and there no crashing wut the hell does that mean i think mny powerbar might b garbage or may b my hot room

Posted by: oderus1671

get the Abit AN8. several different "flavors" available, from the standard AN8 (nf4), AN8 ultra(nf4U), AN8-SLI, and the AN8 Fatal1ty (also available in SLI i think). they are kinda expensive, but Abit absolutely ROCKS!
