Im running Windows Xp so i thought playing diablo 2 would be a breeze!!!!! But When im done installing and everything(restart.....) i double click on the diablo icon, my screen goes black for a second and then it returns to mi desktop like nothing happind? WHATZ WRONG?????

Have you updated your video card drivers recently? Having the latest drivers often solves problems like these.
You can also try running Diablo 2's video test (it's in your start menu, in the Diablo 2 folder), and when it's finished, select DirectDraw instead of Direct3D. See if it runs on that.
