my copy of hl2 isn't installing it gets stuck on the bit where it says about direct x and when i click on next it doesn't go on to the next page what can i do

Hi! What is your video card?
Maybe, it is'nt direct X 9.0 compatible?
And do you have Direct X 9.0C installed?
If you don't know wich Direct X you got?
Go: START + RUN.
In RUN, type dxdiag.
Then you can see wich version of Direct X you got?

it worked b4 when i didn't have the internet but now it just wont go n e more thax tho ill try the link

I don't see how the internet would affect being able to play or not, your not trying to play multiplayer or anything so it should work...

na i ment it installed fine but i couldent regaster so i couldent play lol
