Samples of error messages. an exception occurred while tring to run shell32.dll. control_rundll, error 1311. source file not found: c:\documents and settings\(user's profile)\local settings\temporary internet files\content.ies\klipcsif\jp150040[i}.cab., the instruction at 0x77fa511f reference memory at 0x00000200. the memory cound not be "read". The first problem was java needed to be uninstalled and reinstalled but I could not get it to install. I was able to download it to my desktop and then install it. this took care of all my jave error messages. I'm seeing that I may need to re-install whatever is the MS download software. I'm really a Mac SA but have to work on PC quit a bit. Againg, the problem I am having now is that I can not download and install any updates from the MS Download web site. If I can download the update to my desktop and can then install it. Thanks for any help.

all ms updates can be downloaded manually. youll have to hunt for them, but they are there on the site.
