Non runner

I have a Latitude C610 notebook which will not start up it seems dead but if you press the Windows key it switches on ,the fan runs but that is it, no other signs of life and the only way to switch it off is by removing the power supply has anyone had a similar problem if so please help. Thanks Derek

I presume that you mean the battery when you say remove the PSU. With the battery out and the AC cord/transformer unit plugged in will it work?
