BFME does not want to run on my computer. I even got a new video card for it that "IS" compatible. everytime I click the icon it starts out like it is going to run then it shuts the program down. This has been very fustrating seeing as I have gone through two video cards to find the right one. if anyone can help me it would be apreciated.

Hi!

If you are referring to the "Minimum system requirements" at the back of the game box? When saying that the Radeon 7500 is compatible. Then you have been misslead unfortunatly. This as most game manufacturers, set the "Minimum System Requirements " to a ridiculously low level. Do not ever trust such a statement! It's just a way for the game manufacturers to sell more games!

The RADEON 7500 is a very old video card ( released 2001 / 2002). I don't even think it is Direct X 9.0 compatible? ( That is probably why you can't play the game) And furthermore 64 mb is a too small amount of video memory to be able to play a modern game like Battle for Middle-Earth in a good way. 128mb to 256mb is what you need.

You should need a video card like those below, to make sure to have a problem free gameing:

SAPPHIRE RADEON 9600XT 128M Radeon 9600XT 128MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card - OEM $88.00

HIS Hightech ICE98-2H-ZAM Radeon 9800PRO 128MB 256-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail $136.00.

And whatever you do. Don't pick a Geforce MX video card. If you planning on getting a new card.

Prices: newegg, webshop.

And as you like gaming and use Windows 2000. You should have 768mb to 1 gigabyte of RAM. To ensure good overall memory performance. 512mb of RAM is minimum.

Just make sure, you get the correct type of RAM. SDRAM? DDR RAM? and speed. The same manufacturer is'nt nessisary.

If you don't know what RAM you got?
Download "Everest Home".

thank you, but I am broke. I can't afford those cards now. And tech support said I needed a agp slotted card not a pci. I'll just have to wait to get a new computer. Thanks for the help though.

O.K:.

Yeah, an AGP card is what you should get.
