Unusual Black&White TV-Out, tried everything.

Please dont dismiss this post, ive done extensive google search on this matter, tried everything and couldnt fix it, a month later(now) i just cant stand watching black&white so I decided to try my luck.

Basicly Ive been using GF MX440 for a long time and TV output was fine. Never had any problems. S-video/composite btw.

A month ago I upgrade to Asus 6600GT and tv-output became black&white. I tried everything as the internet suggests, changing signal to NTSC, PAL etc(I live in canada so NTSC was correct), changing the type of connector from s-video to composite in options, adjusting saturation from nvidia options etc nothing helps. Using several different connectors from different video cards, including one that came with 6600GT. Reistalling and trying different forceware versions, even tweaked ones. nothign helps.

Now between installing and reinstalling drivers, when they are uninstalled I actually see the color on my TV. Also when windows boots up I see the color. This makes me believe connectors are fine, and the problem is somewhere else...

Have you tried another cable between the TV and the PC?

ya thats what i meant by changing connectors, i have several cables from diff videocards, tried em all including the one that came with 6600GT. I dont think its a cable problem since color is fine when system is booting up or no drivers are installed.

My system is amd2500+ barton, a7n8x MB, windows xp sp1, 1gig pc3200 and no media center.

Have you actually gone in to the advanced video settings and checked to see that you are output in color? I have not played around with the tv out settings for my 6600 but there seems to be a lot of stuff in there. Unless you have a defective card, it may just be a matter of choosing color output.
