Windows Opening Off-screen

I'm having problems with certain windows opening off screen. Specifically my AIM Buddy List. I have tried closing it and re-opening it. I have tried changing my resolution. I have tried doing the move thing, the size thing, and cascading my windows. None helped. The only thing I can do is max it out. Which is really annoying to have your entire desktop clouded by the Buddy List.
Edit: Well, I feel like a retard now. Haha, I figured it out. Haha. I maximized it then I cascaded windows. Yay. Well, I guess this isn't entirely wasted. Maybe this'll help someone with similar problems.

General tip.
Right click on the program button for the particular program on the taskbar.
Choose move.
Hit the down arrow.
the window will then move with your mouse.

Wow, thanks, haha. That helps with some other windows I found that I couldn't max out. Haha.
