Help with Gateway P5-75

I have recently been given an old Gateway P5-75 puter... and the person removed EVERYTHING on it.. and does not have the system disk.... Is there somewhere I can download this... ( on MY puter... its a HP)... or is there someway I can get to load Windows 95 onto it... I HAVE this disk....

well, the former owner is the owner of the software and key. they decided not to give it to you for whatever reason, so you will need to install your own legally owned OS.
95 is iffy, but you can try it. boot to a dos disk, then partition and format. then you can begin the 95 installation.

You can try Linux, download one of the bootable CDs for knoppix or ubuntuu and see if they start up. This will take a while btw, especially for an older pc with limited resources. If they work you can look for one of the Linux versions with some low end requirements. If all you are doing is typing and browsing or setting it up as a file/print server then this will be ok.
