Flooded with email

All at once I have been flooded with email from web address stating they can not deliver the mail (I did not send this mail.) They give return address like anyone@(and my email address) I get over a thousand of these a day. Any thing in front of my @(address) normally comes to me (transferred to my Yahoo.com email account) Even after setting up filters this makes my Emil useless. My Question is has some one put something on my computer or are they just harvesting my email address from my web site. I can not list who I will accept email from since I deal with new customers all the time. Thanks Vic.

More likely than not your email got harvested. I get tons of crapmail from my site as well. People harvest even just the domain and then send email "from" it to you so they can spam you. Sadly, it happens and that's that. Not much else that can be done as I've emailed the ISP's that it originates for me with no sucess or even a response.

Make sure you don't have a virus on your computer. Some viruses can turn your computer into a "spam gateway" and spammers can secretly use your email address to send out thousands of emails in your name.

Go to TrendMicro HouseCall and run their free online virus check/removal tool just to be sure.
