I took my comp to get it worked on before i took it the bios said i had an amd athlon 2800 and when i got it back it said it was an athlon 1500 did the guy switch my processor with a slower one or did he do something to make it say that

I think it has something to do with the jumper setting on your motherboard. I believe it is the setting for your FBS. You might want to post more information though, like your motherboard and such.

download cpu-z and it should display all the information we will need to help you out.
