Unlocking an Athlon XP

WARNING: Do not attempt this if you do not want to risk harming your chip. This will void your warranty.
VR-Zone Hardware has wrote a tutorial on unlocking your Athlon XP's multiplier. This can be done with some thermal paste, conductive grease, a soft eraser, and a pin of some sort. The guide includes photos and is easy to follow.

Actually, IS, if you read them carefully you ARE alowed to take them off. "This tag not to be removed except by consumer. and that means YOU!

Ever wonder about that % of "Unknown fiber" you see on some of those tags.

For those of us that are older, we know the mattress tags were only recently changed to reflect that consumers could remove the mattress tag.
