Hi guys. ive tried everything to let me host games, but still no one joins. ive turned off AND configured all my firewalls that i can think of, opened every port individually on my router and on the game. can someone please help me. i would really appreciate it.
thanx

warcraft3rules, please double check that your windows xp firewall is disabled. You can do so by following these steps:
Start Menu > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network Connections > Right click connection, select Properties.

Click the advanced tab, and make sure the firewall feature is unchecked.

My second thought of the problem was that your IP address changed, and the router no longer accepts the port forwarding. Do you know how to get your router's administrative page?

the firewall is definately turned off. yeah i do no how to get to the routers admin page. can u explain what you mean by it no longer accepts port fowarding and how to fix it? thanks a lot

What I mean by this, is that once your IP address changes, the port will no longer be forwarded and you will need to reconfigure it.

Follow the steps before to get to the port forwarding page of your router's administrative area and then retrieve your IP address by following these steps:
Start Menu > Run > Type in CMD > When the black box appears type in ipconfig and then check with your router that the specified IP address at the port forwarding page corresponds with the one in the black box.

yeah its the right adress. thanx anyway. any other ideas?

If the port is forwarded and the error still occurs, double check that you have your firewalls disabled, or even removed, because this is the only way.

If it is indeed a typo in the port forwarding menu, I would want to help you correct it. What router company and model are you using?

every firewall i no of is disabled. my router is dynalink 100+.

Please visit the router administrative page and check the following:

Rule Flavor: RDR
RuleID: 1
IF Name: All
Protocol: Any
Local Address From:
Local Address To:
Global Address From: 0.0.0.0
Global Address To: 0.0.0.0
Destination Port From: Any other port 6112
Destination Port To: Any other port 6119
Local Port: Any other port 0

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Warcraft III requires you to forward the 6112-6119 ports. The window you are looking at will most likely not look like the picture above. This window changes depending upon what is in the Rule Flavor drop down box.

Go ahead and click the drop down arrow now. Select RDR from the list. Now your window should look something like the picture above. This guide is going to show you exactly how to enter the ports for Warcraft III.

In order to enter the data we are giving you, you will need to enter information we show you, click the submit button, then click the close button on the confirmation window.

Then you will create a new Nat Rule Entry so you can enter an additional configuration, until all of the data we give you has been entered.

Alright go ahead and enter the data shown above into the Nat Rule Add page.

all right.

If it's all correct, then it's a firewall. I would recommend to remove the firewalls.
