Buisness Venture

So Ive been talking to a friend of mine about starting my own buisness. He introduced me to a company called Quixtar. I am quite skeptical because it sounds very much like a pyramid scheme. Has anyone had dealings with this company or know at least something about it? My research hasnt helped much because the opinions towards the company are so polar.

Sure reeks of a pyramid scheme to me... but it does seem to be a valid business.

Check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quixtar

The question you really should be asking yourself is, what kind of business do you want to start? Somehow the idea of starting a business in sales and marketing just for the sake of having your own business - when sales/marketing is not your interest or forte - seems a bit of a stretch.

I remember one of my friends getting into that. He did it for a while, then got out of it, but one of his friends took over for him.

It is a valid business. And it may work for you - I didn't bother with it - not my thing.

Uh...OK is right though - if you don't want to be in sales, don't start a business in sales. You can't fell like a success if you don't like what you're doing.

is it a MLM ? if so it is a typical pyramid type business
they want you to recruit more sales people than they do you selling the overpriced merchandise. if you believe in the product and are good at sales then go for it also check with your states consumer services dept. for word on any pending lawsuits.

uh ok has a link that is 100% on target , i used to do duplication work for some of these type people and that article was absolutely correct about the selling of the business tool's i made them and shipped them for about 2 years. dude if you really want to go in business go into real estate or even homebuilt computers in your area all you need is a good tech to help with any issues that may pop up. we have a company down here called cheap guys computers they started out small now they have like 4-5 stores in orlando area .
