Poprt 25 blocking

Just installed SBC/Yahoo DSL at home and it will not allow me to use any smtp server other than SBCs. I filled out the opt-out Port 25 form as recommended on another forum and it was approved but still no go.
How do I get SBC to allow me to use other smtp servers on Port 25. Their support people are completely clueless.

hi this is dwayne.. what u can do is give a call to the sbc tech and ask them to release the port25 for yu... outgoing emails are only blocked if u use a third party email..... still if u want to remove the filter and since i work for sbc u can give me ur sbc yahoo email address and i can release it for yu
