Well, for example....when you logged in on this site, you had to type in a user name and password into boxes, right??..well, so did I , but when I typed mine in, since my username has 9 letters , it took nearly 10 seconds for the letters to show up so that I could move on to entering my password, while YOURS probably showed up immediately. The same things happen when I go to a browser and type in something to search for.
thanks for listening,

what browser and os are you using? what scans do you run regularly?

Sounds like something is eating up your connection, your memory, or both - maybe some serious spyware, maybe just in need of more memory.
Scan it with Spybot, Adaware, CounterSpy, SpySweeper, the like. Once your PC's cleaned up a bit, it'll probably work better.

Run a virus scan also. Go to Start>Programs>System Information and check how much avalible physical memory you have. If you have less than 60 mb, you may want to consider getting some more. Also make sure other applications aren't running. Sometimes my computer does this when I'm running a virus scan or downloading something.

I am using yahoo/sbc dsl /IE and windows XP and I run Ad-Aware and Spybot on a regular basis. I actually had the problem listed above DIRECTLY after running spybot and adaware

try cwshredder and see if it finds anything.

You need antivirus software. Spybot and ad=aware are not the same thing. I like Titanium Panda software.com
