HELP with The Sims expansions

I have The Sims Deluxe Edition, I want to add the expansions in the book it says to add expansions first, when I try it says you don't have a previous version, so I put the deluxe back on my computer but when I put superstar on its like it takes over and the deluxe is no longer available. all I have is superstar, not Sims creator or any of the other expansions. What can I do to get them to all work together.
