Hey. I was just wondering if you could help me host a custom game. I know its not the firewall because Im on a new computer, and my old one worked fine with Zone Alarm, what I have on the new one, same settings. I also don't know all the computer mumbo jumbo so if anyone could tell me what to do, Id really apreciate it...or send me a message
Thanks so much! Btw I have Sympatico DSL

SupDawg, are you using a router? (The device that shares your internet connection with other computers)

Nope, just straight connected to the DSL Modem, with the Ethernet Cable...

It is Zone Alarm or the windows xp firewall that does not let you host. I never used Zone Alarm, and I could not tell you how to do this. You can visit the support page of Zone Alarm by clicking the following link:

Well yeah but that's what I dont get...I've turned off the Windows Firewall, and used the same settings for Zone Alarm as I did on my old computer, but I still can't host, even though I can on my older computer...Maybe the ports or something?

In the menu of WarCraft III there is an option to change the port the game uses. The default port is 6112. Does Zone Alarm need your IP address for the process?

Not that I know of...
BTW I have Windows XP MC - Media Center

Contact ZoneAlarm, that's the best you can do for now. You can try to play with the settings at ZoneAlarm that it allows UDP and TCP forwarding.

Well yeah...But the thing is, even when I turn off Zone Alarm *Shut it down* I still can't host, even with no fire walls what so ever...I dont get it!
