download the driver install file. remove old drivers from device manager. run the install. reboot.

that will cover 96% of the drivers you need to install.

hey thanks. one more question: when i went into my divice manager i didnt actually find my audio card cuz i think its integrated. i went to hp's site and think i found what i need, but how would you go about finding out exactly what drivers you have/need on your computer without your manufacturers website?

Download "Everest Home" This software will tell you all about your PC.
And The drivers you should update from time to time is:

Videocard driver = Your motherboard manufacturer. or HP. OR if it is a AGP /PCI Express card? The manufacturers home.

Sound card driver. If fintegrated ? = Your motherboard manufacturer or HP
Chipset driver = Consult Everest Home under " Chipset" + "Nortbridge chipset".
The main Chipset makers are: Intel
Nforce ( Nvidia)
VIA
SIS

So when you found out wich Northbridge chipset you got? Go to the chipset manufacturer home for the driver.

This driver is enough, if you update about once a 6 month.
The chipset driver, updates the different ports on your motherboard. Like USB, AGP and Game port.
