Changing Times In Emails Sent
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

is there a way to change what time an email is sent other than your current time zone?

Your outgoing emails are time-stamped according to the time you set the Windows clock. change the computer clock to a different time or time zone (double-click the time display in the system-tray) before sending the email. be aware, however, that new files you create are also time-stamped according the clock setting -- which may or may not bother you.

Just Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, or whatever email program you're using.
When you're using a web-based email service like Yahoo! or Hotmail, you're actually composing and sending the email on their servers, not on your computer. The email is sent directly from their mail servers, not from your computer, and is timestamped by their mail server.

you should note that the header of the email will display the timestamps of the mail servers it passes through, so the actual time of sending (within a few seconds) is viewable by the recipient, regardless of whatever timestamp is put on there by your computer.
