What is Static IP and Non Static IP ?

Should i have a Static on Non Static IP address and if so what is the deferens between the two and wich is the one to have ????

A static IP address is one you set yourself. It's always the same.

A dynamic IP address gets assigned to you by a DHCP server (which could be a router, or another computer) each time you start up your computer, and each time you decide to renew your IP address. This one can be different everytime, but that's depending on the DHCP server's settings and such.

I guess the usual saying applies here too. If it ain't broke, don't fix it (especially when you're not really sure what you're doing ).
