Limewire questions

My limewire program pops up with the following message when i try to open it and i am unsure of how to fix the problem:
Limewire is unable to initialize and start. This is usually due to a firewall program blocking Limewires access to the internet or loopback conections on the local machine. Please allow Limewire to access the internet and restart Limewire.
How can i fix this problem. Your help would be greatly appriciated...

It should be allowed access through your firewall (and/or router). Or try updating the program. Also, remember that Limewire shouldn't be used to download/share copyrighted materials.
